BISYOC promotes excellence in cultural and social interaction between young people from different countries – through making high-quality music together. We are a UK-based not-for-profit organisation (Registered Charity No. 1112573).

We are staffed by a small but dedicated team and we rely on external funding and other forms of support. As a Youth Exchange, some of our funding comes from the European Union's Erasmus+ programme, and some funding comes from private individual donors or arts funding organisations.

Trustees Needed

An exciting opportunity has arisen for friends of BISYOC and past participants throughout Europe to become involved directly in the governance of BISYOC. We are looking for new people for the Board of Trustees. To be a Trustee you need to be a person with a long-term future interest in keeping BISYOC alive for the benefit of future generations of young musicians. We know that there are many of you out there who think BISYOC is a great concept, so now is the time for you to get involved in steering the organisation. Being a Trustee is a voluntary role. You contribute your beliefs, enthusiasm, ideas and decision-making skills more than anything – there are meetings four times a year via online conferencing, and sometimes you may be asked if you can help with research, for example identifying new funding opportunities. You should also be a good networker – helping to promote BISYOC in a good way to keep on building its international profile. Sometimes certain Trustees contribute additional time and expertise if there is a particular skill or area of knowledge they can offer to support BISYOC. If you are interested in finding out more about how to become a Trustee, please write as soon as possible to for information.
